Use Case #1: Streamlining a complex form-submission process to speed processing time and reduce follow-up
An insurance firm needed a more efficient way to collect pre-underwriting forms and documents from their prospective clients before the carrier could be selected. The original process took four to five days and required constant reminders and check-ins from their staff to complete the forms. By utilizing Formstack Forms and a Salesforce Experience Cloud site, ShellBlack was able to customize a solution that is branded, easy to use, and captures all of the necessary information efficiently. The turnaround time went from multiple days to averaging 24 hours or less. It also required much less involvement from the firm’s staff to follow up.
Use Case #2: Serving up a form for clients to easily and accurately update their information
A wealth firm needed a fast and accurate way to update client information each year. The existing process relied heavily on sending PDFs to clients to review, update, and return. This was time-consuming, required a lot of back-and-forth communication, and often led to inaccurate updates — or no updates at all. After configuring a Formstack Form, the firm is now able to send each client an email with a form link containing prefilled information. The client can easily accept or update the information and submit the form. Once submitted, the form is saved on the Household record as a PDF that the firm can review and keep for historical data. The firm has seen an increase in the number of completed forms returned, as well as improved accuracy of the data in Salesforce.
Use Case #3: Digitizing and automating information capture for a new client advisor meeting
A wealth management firm wanted to create a paperless, automated process to capture prospective client information for the initial advisor meeting. After working with ShellBlack, a Formstack Form was created that can be emailed to the prospective investment client. Upon submission of the form, a Salesforce automation creates a new Lead record and assigns the record to the appropriate advisor, aligned by their areas of expertise. A wealth firm had a very complex process that relied heavily on legacy code. For compliance purposes, they require an investor policy statement from all new clients and an update from existing clients every three years. The new process sends the document to compliance personnel for a side-by-side comparison with the existing record. If approved, the client’s information in Salesforce is automatically updated.
